The TS EAMCET is an annual examination or entrance test held every year. The state-level entrance examination is undertaken by thousands of aspiring candidates who wish to get enrolled into some of the most lucrative career options & courses from the prestigious colleges and universities of the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The TS EAMCET exam is conducted and organized by the JNTUH (Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University, Hyderabad). The EAMCET is considered to be the entry-level examination for the “E” (Engineering) category and “AM” (Agriculture & Medicine) category.

Ranking System of the EAMCET 2018

The ranking of the TS EAMCET held every year is based on 75 percent of the overall EAMCET marks along with 25 percent weightage to the overall intermediate marks (CBSE, ICSE, or intermediate). The local ranking of the EAMCET is calculated on the basis of different regions of the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The Andhra Pradesh state is divided into two major regions including the Andhra University and Sri Venkteshwara. For instance, if you belong to the region of the Andhra University region and if you belong to the ST/SC category, your local ranking in the EAMCET will be calculated by taking your marks of all the given ST/SC category students which are present in the Andhra University region.

Method of Rank Calculation

If you wish to calculate the overall rank for your EAMCET exam, there is a specific system for doing the same. As per the recent changes, the marks obtained in the respective 3 major subjects of EAMCET will be analyzed for 75%. These marks will be included to the 25% of marks equivalent to the marks obtained in the major subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in case of the Engineering students and Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology with respect to the Medical students.

As your ranking for the EAMCET 2018 will be dependent on the Higher Secondary Board results as well, it is important for you to focus on your Higher Secondary Board results also.
